Our client, operating within the technology sector, is currently seeking a Platform & Agentic AI Architect Lead for a contract role based in London. This high-responsibility position involves leading an engineering pod to migrate AWS serverless applications to Azure, focusing on building frameworks, guardrails, and workflows that enable AI coding agents to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining architecture and platform engineering responsibilities with team mentoring and delivery leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and evolve the _forge scaffolding, including repository structures, CLAUDE.md specifications, agent creation, MCP configurations, and custom commands.
Define migration work packages and acceptance criteria for AWS-to-Azure transformation.
Build CI/CD guardrails, architectural controls, and automated quality checks.
Enforce architecture through testing, linting, and dependency management.
Drive AI-assisted engineering practices, including prompt-driven TDD and multi-agent orchestration.
Mentor engineers on Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Cowork workflows.
Report on migration progress, agent utilisation, risks, and delivery metrics.
