Based in London, they provide data-driven risk assessment and safety insights for hundreds of UK fleets, including global giants like Amazon, DPD, Uber, and Bolt, helping customers prevent claims before they happen.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Retain team, you will lead the design and operation of full-stack services that embed Flock into the daily workflows of fleet owners. You'll own critical features end-to-end, leveraging a modern AWS serverless stack to build scalable products that improve safety and profitability for hundreds of commercial vehicle fleets.

• Lead the architecture and delivery of backend services using Type Script, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance and schema reliability.
• Design and scale distributed systems on AWS utilizing Lambda, SQS, and Event Bridge, managing infrastructure-as-code through Terraform or CDK.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to translate complex fleet management needs into technical scope and measurable customer-focused outcomes.

• At least 6 years of professional software experience, including 1-2 years operating at a Senior level with full-stack Type Script proficiency.
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining production-grade serverless applications within the AWS ecosystem and managing complex PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to mentor junior engineers, lead technical design discussions, and drive engineering best practices across the team.
