Software Engineer (Python) | Start-Up Fin Tech | London Hybrid | Up to £75k + Bonus

We are partnered with an innovative product led software company that's building real time enterprise platforms used within highly specialised financial markets. They're looking for a Backend Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, designing scalable systems and taking ownership of features from concept through to production.

You'll join a small, experienced engineering team where your work has direct impact on the product, collaborating closely with frontend engineers, product specialists and domain experts to build software used in demanding, real world environments.

• Designing and developing backend services using Python
• Building scalable APIs and distributed backend systems
• Developing reliable, high-performance microservices
• Collaborating with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end product features
• Solving complex engineering challenges with practical, data-driven solutions
• Python
• Django
• REST APIs

• Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design
• Experience working with relational databases
• Comfortable working within modern engineering practices including testing, version control and CI/CD

• Experience with asynchronous Python
• Exposure to containerisation and Kubernetes
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Previous experience within fintech, trading, SaaS or another high-performance product environment
