Graduate/Junior Java Developer – Sports betting Hedge fund – London Job Summary

A number of Java Developers are required for an exciting and progressive Sports betting Hedge fund Company with office in London and Leeds. You will be joining a tight-knit team of research mathematicians, computer scientists and trading analysts at the top of their chosen fields.

The role would suit candidates who have just graduated and with 1+ years experience and significant part of childhood spent hacking away in 8-bit assembly language. The successful candidates will be working closely with the quantitative researchers and alongside other extremely talented and driven engineers to build and support systematic trading models.

• 1st class degree from from a top university or a 2:1 from Oxbridge degree in any subject.
• Fresh Grads or 1+ years in Java development in a professional capacity
• Some of the technologies you can expect to be working with are:
  Java, Kafka, AMQ, Kubernetes, AWS, MongoDB.
• Exposure to Kafka, AMQ or a similar messaging/streams based technology
• Familiar with event driven design patterns and micro service architecture
• You've worked on large scale, distributed systems that operate with large volumes of data.
• You are a natural problem solver and enjoy challenging yourself, bringing your own ideas
