Blockchain Developer

We are currently supporting a leading technology consultancy on the search for an experienced Blockchain Engineer to join a high-profile programme being delivered for a major financial services organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting‑edge blockchain initiatives, helping to design, build and enhance solutions that interact directly with both public and enterprise blockchain platforms.

As a Blockchain Engineer, you will work as part of a highly skilled engineering team delivering innovative distributed ledger and digital asset solutions. You'll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through to testing, deployment and operational support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Building applications that interact directly with blockchain platforms.
• Designing, developing and deploying smart contracts.
• Integrating blockchain networks with backend services and enterprise applications.
• Developing scalable APIs and blockchain-enabled services.
• Supporting testing, monitoring and optimisation of blockchain solutions.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and resilient platforms.
• Contributing to the wider engineering and technology strategy of the programme.
• Proven experience developing software that interacts directly with public and/or permissioned blockchain networks.
• Hands‑on experience developing, testing, deploying and supporting smart contracts.
• Strong understanding of blockchain principles, distributed systems and decentralised architectures.
• Strong software engineering background with one or more of the following:
• Type Script
• Java
• Kotlin
• Go
• Rust
• Experience designing and building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Experience working within modern Agile engineering teams.
• Smart contract development within the Solana ecosystem.
• Digital assets and tokenisation.
• Custody platforms.
• Decentralised Finance (DeFi).
• Enterprise blockchain technologies.
• Financial services or regulated industry experience.
