Who we're looking for

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Salesforce Engineer who consistently builds robust, scalable, and secure solutions on the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical craftsmanship with excellent engineering standards, an eye for detail, and a continuous improvement mindset. Exposure to the financial services industry is important. The candidate should translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions, apply best-practice engineering and Dev Ops disciplines, and show enthusiasm for innovation.

They should be comfortable owning technical development from design through to production support.

About Us

Our client is a global investment manager, helping institutions, intermediaries, and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.

The team

The Asset Management Platforms department is a global technology change delivery function that oversees and executes all technology delivery within the organisation. The Client Engagement team sits within Client Technology and is responsible for all platforms associated with the provision of client relationship management, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce. The core team is responsible for understanding business needs, solving complex problems, mobilising and delivering large change programs, and maintaining the integrity of the Salesforce platform and associated capabilities.

What

you'll do
  • Contribute to the technical design and hands‑on development of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions across the Salesforce platform, spanning both our Public and Private businesses.
  • Apply engineering standards, code quality practices, and technical governance, ensuring solutions are maintainable, performant, and aligned to architectural principles.
  • Build integrations connecting Salesforce with upstream and downstream platforms to enable joined‑up client journeys and high‑quality, trusted data.
  • Apply Dev Ops practices‑CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management‑to accelerate delivery and reduce risk.
  • Contribute to proof‑of‑value and proof‑of‑concept builds to test ideas and de‑risk delivery.
  • Explore emerging AI capabilities‑including Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce‑to enhance productivity and client engagement, delivering practical use cases.
  • Take part in code reviews and knowledge‑sharing to support the technical capability of the team.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Solid, demonstrable hands‑on Salesforce development experience, including strong Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I is required;
Platform Developer II is strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator is expected, and integration or architecture‑track certifications (e.g. Integration Architect, Application Architect, Mule Soft) are desirable.
  • Proven integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs or middleware such as Mule Soft to connect Salesforce with other systems.
  • Strong experience of Dev Ops and CI/CD tooling (e.g. Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure Dev Ops), automated testing, and release management on the Salesforce platform.
  • A good understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, governor limits, and platform best practices.
  • Good eye for detail and a strong track record of producing high‑quality technical solutions and well‑tested code.
  • Engineering experience across different capabilities, systems or teams; a breadth of (positive) experiences is valued alongside depth.
  • A good understanding of the end‑to‑end SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid etc.) and modern engineering disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Willingness to work with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences, time zones etc.
What you'll be like

The ideal candidate for the Salesforce Software Engineer role will be a pragmatic and collaborative team member who takes pride in engineering craftsmanship and delivering business value. They will take ownership of technical design and hands‑on development tasks, using their initiative to break down complex challenges and organise their own work. Comfortable engaging credibly with technical peers and stakeholders, this individual will welcome and act on feedback.

Their curiosity will drive the exploration of new tools, patterns, and AI‑enabled solutions, ultimately contributing to platform quality and strong project outcomes.
