Senior Software Engineer – Agentic Development Enablement

• Investigate safe patterns for enterprise use of agentic development tools such as Claude Code and Git Hub Copilot
• Design and implement guardrails, controls, and engineering patterns for AI-assisted development
• Contribute to endpoint and platform observability, telemetry, and policy enforcement
• Define how controls work consistently across local development environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Explore changes to development environments, including containerised or backend-offloaded approaches
• Run research, proof-of-concept work, and technical experimentation
• Work across engineering, platform, security, and adjacent enterprise teams to turn concepts into operating solutions
• Shape scalable practices for governance, rollout, and developer adoption
• Help build an AI-enabled delivery platform on AWS to modernise the path to production

• Strong hands-on background as a software engineer
• Broad technical understanding across developer tooling, cloud platforms, operating systems, desktop environments, security controls, observability, telemetry, and CI/CD
• Experience working on developer workflows and engineering ways of working, not only end-user application delivery
• Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces and turn research or experimentation into practical implementation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical disciplines and stakeholder groups
• Curiosity, sound engineering judgement, and comfort operating across discipline boundaries
• Experience with enterprise adoption of AI-assisted development tools (desirable)
• Familiarity with secure developer environments, enterprise guardrails, or policy enforcement (desirable)
• Experience with containerised development environments or remote/offloaded development models (desirable)
• Exposure to telemetry, usage analytics, or engineering reporting pipelines (desirable)
• Experience in regulated or control-heavy enterprise environments (desirable)
• Some data engineering or analytics capability, particularly where reporting and insight generation are part of the role (desirable)

Demonstrates expertise in AI-assisted development tools, cloud platforms, and secure developer environments, with a strong focus on implementing governance and engineering patterns. Capable of translating research and experimentation into practical solutions while fostering collaboration across technical disciplines.
