Senior Backend Engineer

As a Backend JavaScript Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a Health-tech start-up. Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the backend development, focusing on the core platform.

Develop responsive, maintainable, and user-centric backend applications.

Work on a greenfield project with significant impact and contribute to the company’s rapid scaling over the next 1-2 years.

Collaborate closely with a small, high-performing team in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Make architectural decisions and provide mentorship to junior team members.

Drive the implementation of modern software development best practices.

Requirements:

Strong backend development experience using JavaScript/Type Script.

Experience with AWS and knowledge of managing infrastructure with code, ideally with CDKAbility to move seamlessly between frontend and backend development, with a passion for architectural decision-making and application design.

Extensive knowledge of modern software development best practices.

Enthusiasm for technology and a continuous learning mindset.

Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment is highly desirable.

Pragmatic approach and ability to prioritize areas that drive growth and performance.
