Tech Ohana have partnered with a growing technology business to bring on a Lead Salesforce Technical Consultant.

This organisation builds a Salesforce-native platform and delivers client products on top of it as an embedded team. The work compounds into the product rather than ending with the engagement, and they are looking for a Lead Salesforce Technical Consultant to own the end-to-end technical design across a portfolio of concurrent client builds and capture every decision back into reusable patterns that make the whole team faster.

You will serve as the technical authority across two to three concurrent client-facing product implementations on Salesforce. You will own the solution design, direct a build pipeline that is increasingly AI and agent-executed, hold the review gates as the human judgement in that pipeline, and maintain accountability for quality and release readiness throughout. A strong configuration-first instinct is fundamental to this role.

Custom Apex is a last resort, and everything you build should be operable by non-engineering teams without developer involvement.

Requirements:
  • 5 or more years of hands-on Salesforce development with real depth in Apex and Lightning Web Components
  • A demonstrable bias to configuration over bespoke build, with clear examples of steering clients or internal teams away from unnecessary custom code
  • Strong judgement on where the boundary between configuration and code should sit, and the confidence to defend that position with clients
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce declarative automation, including when Flows are appropriate and when they are not
  • Experience designing for maintainability so that support and operational teams can change the product without engineering involvement
  • Strong Salesforce API and integration experience across REST and SOAP, with solid Dev Ops and CI/CD practice
  • Confidence and credibility in client-facing settings, running technical calls, presenting trade-offs, and acting as the client's primary technical contact
  • Practical, recent experience using AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day delivery. Genuine use since 2025 matters far more to this business than years on a CV

If you are an experienced Salesforce technical leader with a strong configuration-first mindset and are open to exploring your next move, we would welcome a conversation.
