About the RoleAt Shark Ninja, we create intelligent, connected products that delight consumers and disrupt categories. We're growing our engineering teams across Firmware, Cloud, and Mobile App development, building systems that integrate hardware, software, and digital experiences using AI driven processes to help accelerate design, coding, and testing.
Come help design and deliver cloud native solutions that power Shark Ninja's connected device ecosystem. You'll build scalable backend services, IoT connectivity platforms, and APIs that enable seamless experiences between devices and mobile applications, working on the cloud infrastructure supporting Shark Ninja's growing portfolio of connected products.
What You’ll DoDevelopment and engineering
- Design and develop scalable cloud services and APIs that power Shark Ninja's connected device ecosystem.
- Build IoT connectivity platforms using AWS IoT Core that enable reliable device to cloud communication for millions of connected products.
- Collaborate with mobile, embedded, and hardware teams to deliver end to end connected product experiences.
- Work with product management to define and refine product requirements.
- Implement distributed systems using Lambda, Docker, Fargate, and AWS services that integrate cloud infrastructure with mobile apps and connected devices.
- Write, execute, and automate tests to ensure reliability, performance, and consumer ready quality at scale.
- Monitor, debug, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance using Cloud Watch for consumer scale deployment across diverse device ecosystems.
- Work closely with cross functional development teams spanning the entire software stack from embedded to mobile.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Technical collaboration
- Collaborate with senior technical leaders on cloud and IoT architecture decisions.
- Partner with QA, mobile, and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integration across the stack.
- Contribute to technical discussions and help refine engineering standards and patterns.
- Mentor junior and mid level engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the broader engineering team.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud native development.
- Strong proficiency with Type Script, Golang, and/or Python.
- Solid experience with AWS services including Lambda, IoT Core, DynamoDB, Cloud Watch, and SNS/SQS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, AWS CDK preferred.
- Understanding of full stack system architecture and cloud to mobile integration patterns.
- Experience working with cross functional development teams.
- Knowledge of IoT protocols and device connectivity, including MQTT, HTTP/REST, and Web Sockets.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
