We are currently seeking a Knowledge Graph Consultant to join our team in London, London, City of (GB-LND), United Kingdom (GB).

Knowledge Graph Architect

Experience:

10+ years (5+ years in Knowledge Graphs / Ontology Engineering)

Role Overview We are looking for a Knowledge Graph Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise knowledge graphs. This role will define the ontology, data model, and canonical vs. interpretive boundaries, enabling scalable, high-quality graph data for AI-driven use cases, including Graph RAG.The role also requires strong team leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and building internal capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design Define node types, relationships, schemas, and property standards

Design scalable and extensible graph data models

Establish versioning and lifecycle standards

Ontology & Governance Develop ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic frameworks

Define canonical vs. interpretive data boundaries

Govern schema evolution and version control

Graph Change Management Act as the authority for all structural changes

Manage schema, relationship, and property updates

Define and enforce change control processes

Graph RAG & AI Enablement Design Graph RAG retrieval strategies

Integrate knowledge graphs with LLMs and AI systems

Optimize context generation for AI use casesAPI & Consumption Layer Design REST/GraphQL APIs for graph access

Define agent consumption interfaces

Ensure performance, scalability, and usability

Team Leadership Coach, mentor, and develop internal talent

Provide hands-on technical guidance and reviews

Drive delivery, prioritization, and skill development

Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with data, AI/ML, and business teams

Translate requirements into semantic models

Provide thought leadership on graph adoption

Required Skills

Neo4j Schema Design (Cypher, property graph modeling)
Ontology Engineering (OWL/RDF, Protégé)Graph RAG (LLM integration, retrieval strategies)
API Design (REST / GraphQL)
Preferred Skills Graph platforms:
Neptune, Tiger Graph Semantic  standards: SPARQL, SHACLAI/ML and LLM ecosystem exposure
