Requirements- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient advanced experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading an agile delivery team using scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, and progress reporting to senior stakeholders
- Preferred: experience working in a front office environment within financial services
- Preferred: knowledge of Java, Python, Type Script, and React
- Build, enhance, and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way
- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead communities of practice across software engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Act as a front office developer within the QES technology team
- Collaborate closely with front office teams, including trading and structuring, to support the QES platform
