Office based in St James, London Quant Capital is urgently looking for a top-tier software developer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well-known global systematic hedgefund. They have incredible performance figures and compensation packages.

Their Trading team looking to hire an expert developer to extend existing infrastructure to accommodate new systematic strategies accross different securities. The ideal candidate should have already built out similar solutions and have a pragmatic approach to development balancing the trade-offs from using existing libraries with the benefits of creating from scratch.

As asoftware engineer you will work in close collaboration with research teams to architect, implement and analyse new automated electronic trading algorithms. The developer will play a key role in building and engineering the Firm’s software infrastructure to support new and existing lines of business. In addition, the developer will expand the Firm’s proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality.

Developers Must Have:

Expert in writing production level code in C++, Python, C# or simialr code

Able to take high level requirements and lead with constructing the engineering concept to underpin that project

Experienced interacting with databases, ideally in SQL Alchemy (Python) and SQL (query language), proficient with Redis and Docker Knowledge of fixed income products including terminology, conventions and general construction

Fluently worked with time series of varying frequency and experience of dealing with issues such as different time zones, gaps in data, constructing constant maturity derivatives series and futures contracts

Has initiated / worked with git for version control, and gitlab deployment processes

Experience dealing with FIX would also be useful
