Overview of the role
  • We're looking for a mid-level Salesforce Engineer to design, build and ship custom solutions on the Salesforce platform. Salesforce is a core business platform for us, used daily by operational teams and integrated with a number of internal and third‑party systems, so the
work you do has a direct, visible impact.
  • This is a greenfield project: the org is less than a year old, so you'll be working with a modern, clean codebase and will have a genuine say in the patterns, standards and architecture as it grows. If you enjoy shaping something early rather than untangling years of technical
debt, this is a good fit.
  • This is a predominantly hands‑on build role. You'll be writing code most days and owning features from refinement through to release, with a particular focus on Lightning Web Components and API integrations.
  • You'll work closely with fellow engineers and with the business stakeholders who rely on the platform.
  • We operate in a regulated environment, so change control, auditability and careful handling of data are part of how we work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain custom Lightning Web Components: reusable, performant, accessible UI, making heavy use of modals, custom data tables and component composition.
  • Own integrations between Salesforce and internal/external systems: REST callouts, named credentials, authentication, request/response mapping, and robust handling of failure cases.
  • Write clean and well‑tested Apex: services, triggers, and async processing (Queueable/Batch/Schedulable) that respects governor limits.
  • Build and maintain Flow automation (record‑triggered and screen flows), and exercise good judgement about where logic belongs in Flow versus Apex.
  • Model data and configure the platform: custom objects, fields, metadata‑driven configuration and platform events.
  • Take part in code reviews, testing standards, and design discussions and help keep a growing codebase clean.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into working software.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 3+ years building on Salesforce including features you've owned through to production environments.
  • Strong Lightning Web Components: lifecycle hooks, reactive properties, wire adapters, events, component composition, and Jest tests. This is central to the role.
  • Strong integration skills: REST/SOAP callouts, named credentials, authentication, data mapping, and handling failure cases properly is also central to the role.
  • Strong design and implementation abilities. We're a relatively new org and you'll be owning projects end‑to‑end while shaping our org. We want to maintain our current strong, efficient and scalable codebase.
  • Solid Apex: SOQL, governor limits, async patterns, and unit tests that assert real behaviour.
  • Comfortable with modern JavaScript (ES6+); you don't need a framework background but should know your way around the language.
  • Practical Flow experience (record‑triggered and screen flows), and judgement on the Flow/Apex boundary.
  • Git and pull‑request workflow, and strong source‑driven deployment via SFDX/Salesforce CLI. Experience with Azure Dev Ops is a bonus.
  • Clear communication and the confidence to work directly with non‑technical colleagues.
Useful, but not required
  • Experience in a regulated environment (financial services, healthcare, or similar).
  • CI/CD experience and familiarity with second‑generation packaging (2GP) or scratch orgs.
  • Salesforce certifications (i.e. Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I).
  • If you've done any of it, say so. If you haven't, we'd rather teach you that than compromise on the engineering
Benefits
  • Time to Recharge
    • 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
    • An extra day off for your birthday
    • Holiday loyalty…
