Fidessa Developer

Location: Greater London

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fidessa Developer to join a global Equities Cash Technology team supporting institutional and retail trading businesses.

This is a hands-on development role focused on the customisation, enhancement, implementation and support of a highly tailored Fidessa environment. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in Fidessa architecture and a proven track record developing solutions directly within OMS/EMS platforms.

This is not a support, QA, business analysis or integration-focused position. We are specifically seeking candidates who have developed and customised functionality inside Fidessa.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customise and enhance Fidessa trading applications and workflows.

Build custom screens, business logic, order management functionality and workflow automation.

Deliver ongoing platform enhancements and participate in Fidessa upgrades.

Develop and maintain TCL-based solutions within the Fidessa platform.

Integrate external market and trading data feeds, including RTD solutions.

Collaborate with technology teams, project managers and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

Support production trading systems and contribute to Dev Ops and automation efforts.

Required Experience

Candidates must demonstrate:

* Hands-on Fidessa development experience within OMS and/or EMS environments.

* Strong Fidessa architecture and implementation knowledge.

* Direct platform customisation including workflow changes, order routing logic, custom screens and business rules.

* Strong TCL development experience.

* Experience with Fidessa upgrades in customised environments.

* Linux/Unix experience.

* Equities trading systems and order management knowledge.

* Ability to discuss complex OMS workflow challenges they have personally solved.

Technical Skills

Experience with a broad range of Fidessa products is highly desirable, including CASE, FBL, TOP (OMAR, TMAR, PMAC), PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS and FDA.

Additional technical experience may include:

* FIX Protocol

* Python, Shell Scripting, Power Shell

* Sybase and SQL Server

* Distributed systems and event-driven architecture

* Messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, AMPS or Tibco EMS

* CI/CD, Dev Ops and automated testing frameworks

Desirable Skills

* Java development experience

* FDA expertise

* FTW implementation or development experience

* Experience with in large-scale global investment banking environments
