- Develop and improve core generative models for graphics and video processing, including live video streaming and game rendering
- Research and prototype methods for graphics and video enhancement
- Develop data generation pipelines from generative models
- Collaborate with team members on drafting publications and patent submissions
- Participate in core R&D work with other teams within Sony Interactive Entertainment
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics or a related field, or equivalent domain experience
- 7+ Years of demonstrable research experience in industry or academia
- At least 7 years of experience developing advanced applications in image, video, graphics processing or computer vision
- Strong experience with Tensor Flow or PyTorch, Python, and computer vision or graphics libraries
- Evidence of leading technical developments through publications in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV or SIGGRAPH
- Knowledge of neural network architectures and advanced loss functions
- Experience designing and testing convolutional, recurrent, transformer-based, diffusion-based or other task-specific neural network architectures
- Experience training, validating and evaluating deep neural network models on large datasets
- Nice to have:
Publications in top-tier conferences or journals, theoretical understanding of graphics pipelines, image processing theory and methods, experience with Unreal or Unity, dataset generation, G-buffer extraction and motion vectors
