We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead todrive end-to-end engineering delivery across strategic Lloyds Banking Group initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, providing technical direction, drivingengineering excellence, ensuring delivery quality, and managing stakeholder relationships across business, architecture, operations, and deliveryfunctions.

The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of modern engineering practices, cloud-native platforms, microservices architecture,Dev Ops, security, and large-scale transformation programs within the bankingdomain. Engineering Leads are expected to foster a culture of innovation,automation, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while ensuring successful delivery of business outcomes.

• Define engineering strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Driveengineering excellence, productivity improvements, and technical innovation.
• Establishdevelopment standards, code quality metrics, and governance controls.
• Mentor Technical Leads, Architects, and Senior Engineers.

• Ownend-to-end technology delivery across programs and releases.
• Ensurecommitments are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, quality, andbudget.
• Manage dependencies across engineering, testing, Dev Ops, architecture, and business teams.
• Supportrelease planning, capacity planning, and sprint governance.
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects on technology roadmaps.
• Reviewsolution designs to ensure scalability, resilience, maintainability, and security.
• DriveAPI-first, cloud-native, microservices-based engineering approaches.
• Ensure adherence to LBG engineering and security standards.
• Championtest automation, code quality, security scanning, and performance engineering.
• DriveCI/CD adoption and Dev Sec Ops  practices.
• Monitorengineering metrics, technical debt, and platform stability.
• Improvesystem reliability, observability, and operational readiness.

• Actas the primary technology contact for business and delivery stakeholders.
• Presentengineering updates, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Customer Journey Managers, Delivery Managers,and Architects.
• Supportgovernance forums and executive status reporting.
• Leaddistributed teams across multiple locations.
• Support hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and capability building.
• Conduct performance reviews and career development conversations.
• Drivea high-performance engineering culture.
• Ensure compliance with LBG governance, audit, security, and risk requirements.
• Manage operational risks and technology controls.
• Support production readiness reviews and regulatory initiatives.

• 12+years of software engineering experience.
• 5+years leading large engineering teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale banking transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments.
