Our client is a leisure tech business whose camera and projector hardware turns real venues into interactive games. They need a Frontend Developer who is equally strong in React and React Native and has shipped native apps to the App Store and Google Play. You’ll join a small product team, report to the CTO and own apps that venue owners and players use every day.
What you’ll be doing- Building and shipping features across React web apps and React Native iOS and Android apps, from design handoff to production
- Owning the mobile release process: builds, signing, Test Flight, Play Console, store submissions and over the air updates
- Turning Figma designs into reusable, accessible components shared across web and mobile
- Integrating REST APIs, Auth0 authentication and Stripe payments, with clean state management
- Building device features including push notifications, deep linking and Bluetooth (BLE) connections to in-venue hardware
- Fixing performance, crash and rendering issues on real devices, reviewing PRs and helping set frontend standards as the team grows
- 4+ years building production frontend applications, with at least 2 years shipping React Native apps to both stores
- Strong Type Script and modern React (hooks, context, composition patterns)
- Hands-on native tooling:
Xcode, Android Studio, Cocoa Pods, Gradle, code signing and store release - State management and data fetching (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Tan Stack Query or similar)
- Auth flows with Auth0 or similar, plus unit and integration testing and CI
- UK based with the right to work, and able to travel now and then for team sessions and venue visits
- Fully remote across the UK, with occasional travel
- Real ownership: in your first 30 days you’ll ship to production and release both native apps without help
- A direct line to the CTO and a say in frontend standards from day one
