Forward Deployed Engineer

London

Location:

London

Salary:
Total compensation up to £200,000+ plus equity

Forward-deployed engineering is either the best job in an AI company or the worst, depending entirely on how the company treats it. Done right, it's a first-class engineering seat where you own outcomes inside hospitals, banks and Fortune 100s, and what you learn on the ground shapes the core product. We work closely with the AI companies deploying into exactly these environments, and we know which ones do it right.

Compensation at these companies can reach £200k+ in London, plus equity. You'd sit where the product meets the customer, turning ambiguous, high-stakes problems into systems that ship and hold up. It's engineering with the outcome attached — your name is on whether it works.

• Owning proof-of-concept through to production inside customer environments
• Turning ambiguous customer needs into shipped technical solutions
• Working hands-on across the stack, directly alongside customers
• Feeding what you learn in the field back into the core product

• Strong engineering fundamentals and genuine ease in front of customers
• A record of delivering real-world value under ambiguity
• The instinct to own an outcome end-to-end and move fast doing it
• Backend and API depth — the specific stack varies by company
