The opportunity

Join a pioneering team developing advanced teleoperation systems for humanoid robots. Develop real-time control software, intuitive operator interfaces, and safety systems to enable precise, confident human control of complex robots. Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve robot behavior, incorporating human-in-the-loop workflows and shared-autonomy features. Suitable for candidates from junior to staff level with strong robotics fundamentals and software engineering skills.

What

you could work on
  • Develop teleoperation capabilities for manipulation, mobility, and loco-manipulation tasks
  • Design intuitive operator experiences including input mappings and feedback loops
  • Integrate input devices such as VR controllers, gloves, haptic devices, and motion capture systems
  • Translate noisy human input into smooth, stable robot commands
  • Build robust teleoperation infrastructure for data streaming, logging, debugging, and training
  • Develop shared-autonomy and assistive-control features to enhance precision and safety
  • Create safe operating boundaries, alerts, and recovery workflows
  • Collaborate with controls, manipulation, hardware, and operations teams to influence robot design
  • Strong fundamentals in robotics including kinematics, control interfaces, and state estimation
  • Experience with teleoperation systems, operator UIs, shared-autonomy tools, or robot learning data pipelines
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python and experience with ROS/ROS2 or robotic middleware
  • Understanding of human-in-the-loop systems and operator workflows
  • Quality mindset with emphasis on testing, logging, observability, and performance tuning
  • Strong debugging skills across software and hardware layers
  • Comfortable iterating rapidly based on operator feedback and prototyping
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
