Property is one of the most important parts of people's lives. It's where you raise your kids. It's most people's biggest financial decision. And the experience of buying, selling or renting one is still shockingly bad.
cinnamon is a platform of AI employees that handle the property transaction end to end. Our first AI hire is already live with agencies across the UK, and we're backed by top-tier VCs.
The roleOur customers already use dozens of different systems. Every one of them needs connecting to cinnamon, and no two behave the same way. That's your job.
You’ll write the code that links third-party systems to our platform, working alongside our engineers. Most of it is Python. You’ll use Claude and other coding agents every day, and you’ll know when to check their work.
What you'll do- Read a system's API documentation, or work out how it behaves when there isn't any, and write down what actually works before you build.
- Build integrations in Python, with tests, against an interface we already use.
- Handle data coming in by webhook.
- Make sure nothing gets lost, doubled up or matched to the wrong place.
- Help new customers get set up, and fix problems before they notice them.
- Keep short, accurate notes, so the next person never starts from zero.
- You're studying computer science, engineering or something similar, or you've built projects that show the same skills.
- You understand APIs and webhooks, and you've used both in something you built.
- You think about what happens when things go wrong: a message arrives twice, out of order or not at all.
- You're patient with things that aren't documented, and you like proving how they really work.
- You build with Claude or similar tools every day, and you test what they write.
- You can be trusted with customer data. It stays in the office and is never shared.
We value care and curiosity over experience.
- You've reverse-engineered a website or an app for fun.
- You've worked with Postgres or a cloud platform.
- You live within easy reach of Aldgate.
- You'd rather guess than check when something looks off.
- You want to work remotely.
- You can't commit to regular hours each week.
- £16 to £25 an hour depending on experience, paid through payroll.
- Part-time or zero-hours contract, with hours that fit around your studies and more in the holidays if you want them.
- Real production code on a live product.
- A seat next to the founders and engineers, so you see how an AI startup actually runs.
