Software Engineer – Digital Product Engineering - C#, .Net, Azure, AI

Hawksworth are recruiting now for a leading UK Financial Services organisation investing heavily in its digital products, technology and engineering capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for developing, improving and evolving digital products.

We are particularly interested in engineers who have spent significant time working within product-led teams, rather than purely delivering traditional IT projects.

You will understand not only how to build great software, but why you're building it, who it's for and how it delivers value to customers and the business.

• Strong commercial experience with C#, .NET / .NET Core and Microsoft Azure
  .
• Significant experience working within Digital Product teams
  , collaborating closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, UX Designers and other engineers.
• A genuine understanding of product development, customer journeys, user experience and continuous product improvement
  .
• Modern full-stack engineering experience, including APIs, microservices and contemporary front-end technologies.
• Experience with Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD, automated testing and modern software engineering practices
  .
• Knowledge of clean architecture, SOLID principles, test-driven development and building scalable, maintainable applications.
• An understanding of AI, Generative AI and emerging technologies
  , particularly how these can improve digital products, engineering productivity and customer experiences.
• Experience taking ownership of software throughout its lifecycle, including development, deployment, monitoring, support and ongoing enhancement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to product discussions, challenge requirements and help shape technical solutions.

You will join a collaborative, forward-thinking Digital Product Engineering team, helping develop and continuously improve customer-facing digital products.

Working closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineering colleagues, you'll contribute to product discovery, technical decisions, development and delivery.
