Duty Manager – Fitness and Wellbeing Club

Position:
Duty Manager at Nuffield Health, Bloomsbury Fitness & Wellbeing Club (FWC), Permanent full‑time contract.

Location:

Bloomsbury FWC

Salary:
Up to £27,997.96 per annum (dependent on experience) plus sales commission.

Hours:

40 hours per week.

As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the club, including opening and closing during your shift, prioritising member satisfaction, engaging with members, leading by example, conducting tours for prospective members, overseeing health and safety protocols, helping achieve sales targets, and, when necessary, covering lifeguard breaks. You should have demonstrable sales experience, excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, a can‑do attitude, and a passion for exceptional customer service.

• Manage club operations, including opening and closing while on shift.
• Prioritise member satisfaction and engage with members to build strong relationships.
• Lead by example, support and guide colleagues while maintaining high quality standards.
• Conduct touring sessions for prospective members, highlighting Nuffield Health’s benefits.
• Oversee health and safety protocols, addressing issues swiftly and effectively.
• Help achieve sales targets.
• Swim to a high standard and be willing to undergo training for covering lifeguard breaks.
