About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Sports Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching in sports education, helping students develop their knowledge and practical skills in physical fitness, coaching, and sports management, preparing them for careers in the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in Sports, covering a variety of topics such as fitness training, coaching techniques, sports science, and sports management.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lesson plans, practical sessions, and assignments to meet curriculum objectives.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, motivating them to achieve their personal and academic goals.
  • Contribute to the development and review of course materials to ensure they align with current industry trends and academic standards.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and interactive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field (or equivalent).
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or a commitment to obtaining one.
  • Experience in teaching or training in sports education, preferably within further education.
  • Strong knowledge of sports coaching, fitness, and sports science principles.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
