About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Sports Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching in sports education, helping students develop their knowledge and practical skills in physical fitness, coaching, and sports management, preparing them for careers in the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in Sports, covering a variety of topics such as fitness training, coaching techniques, sports science, and sports management.Plan, prepare, and assess lesson plans, practical sessions, and assignments to meet curriculum objectives.Provide academic and pastoral support to students, motivating them to achieve their personal and academic goals.Contribute to the development and review of course materials to ensure they align with current industry trends and academic standards.Foster an inclusive, supportive, and interactive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.Essential Requirements:
A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field (or equivalent).Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or a commitment to obtaining one.Experience in teaching or training in sports education, preferably within further education.Strong knowledge of sports coaching, fitness, and sports science principles.Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.Working Environment
