Youth Team Coach & Administrator; Sports Climbing

Job Description

The Youth Climbing Team Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for young climbers. This role requires a passion for climbing, a commitment to youth development, and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for athletes.

• Design and implement age-appropriate training programs that enhance climbing skills, technique, and physical fitness.
• Provide hands‑on coaching during practice sessions and competitions, focusing on skill development, safety, and sportsmanship.
• Monitor the progress of individual athletes, providing feedback and encouragement to foster their growth and confidence.
• Prepare the team for local, national, and international competitions, including organizing travel, logistics, and team bonding activities.
• Ensure a safe climbing environment by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining climbing equipment.
• Maintain open communication with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff. Provide regular updates on training progress and upcoming events.
• Promote the climbing program within the community through outreach efforts and collaborations with schools and local organizations.
• Able to be savvy with the use of social media and create content for engagement.
