This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Duty Manager at Putney Lawn Tennis Club, located in London. The Duty Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the club to ensure the facility runs smoothly and that members have a positive experience. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring health and safety compliance, addressing member inquiries, scheduling and overseeing events, and managing bookings.

The Duty Manager will play a key role in maintaining high service standards and fostering a welcoming environment for all members and visitors.

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple daily operational tasks
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team, ensuring excellent customer service and staff collaboration
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, and experience with maintaining compliance
  • Effective communication and problem‑solving skills to address member and operational concerns
  • Experience in event coordination and knowledge of scheduling tools
  • Customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming and positive environment
  • Experience with in a sports or hospitality environment is an advantage
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends, to meet the operational needs of the club
