Multidrop Delivery Driver

Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting Multi-drop Van Drivers for our clients flagship showroom based in Northolt UB5, one of the UK's biggest supplier of internal and external prestige doors.

£31,382 per annum, £14.20 p/h

Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30, 1 hour break, 42.5 hour week

12 weeks Temp to Perm Contract

You will need excellent communication skills and an attentive manner to manage the delivery processes ensuring everything is in line with our clients strict company standards and procedures. Being motivated, agile and hard-working are key to this role. The job will require a high level of physical fitness.

• Multi-drop deliveries and collections of internal and external doors, fire doors, framing and accessories.
• Assist in the loading of palleted stock onto vehicles, and ensure that all loads are full strapped and secure, either manually or using the forklift truck
  - Counterbalance licence is preferable!
• Ensure that your load is always secure and protected from the weather when necessary.
• Complete the Driver Vehicle Defect Report daily.
• Arrange return of incorrectly delivered or damaged doors, complete a Returns note and inform supplier.
• Comprehensive product knowledge.

• Valid UK driving licence with CAT B entitlement for a minimum of 2 years.
• Licence must be CLEAN of points
• Counterbalance licence is preferable
• Over the age of 21 years for insurance purposes.
• Previous experience of 1 year delivery driving and working in a warehouse environment is essential.
• Fluent in English (for safety and customer interaction).
• Confident using sat navs, smartphones, and various vehicle types.
• Physically well presented at all times.
• High level of physical fitness as deliveries require lifting and shifting up to 50kg per door
  .
• Being motivated and hard-working are key to this role.
