Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver for a well-established client within the freight industry who specialise in providing bespoke logistic solutions to their clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK, with occasional trips to various European destinations. This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable and detail-oriented driver to work with a well-established logistics company, ensuring that deliveries are made efficiently and on schedule.

Salary£38,000 per annum
Working HoursMonday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (May require early or late work on occasions)

Key Responsibilities of Driver Class 1- Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of goods across the UK and Europe.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within the designated time frames while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks, ensuring that the vehicle is maintained in good working order, and report any issues promptly.
- Complete all necessary delivery and vehicle documentation accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with the logistics team and customers, providing updates on delivery progress and any potential delays.
- Ensure full compliance with UK and EU driving regulations, including tachograph rules and Working Time Directive.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including safe loading and unloading practices.
- A valid UK Class 1 driving license is essential.
- Must hold a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience driving Class 1 vehicles, with experience in long-distance and international driving preferred.
- Strong understanding of UK and European road networks and regulations.
- A clean driving record with no serious offences.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve issues that may arise during transit.
