E-Cargo Bike Cyclist; Night Shifts

First Mile is a leading recycling company in London, collecting and recycling over 50 streams of waste from over 30,000 customers. We have a unique zero to landfill policy and continue to be the only BCORP Certified Waste Management company in London, which sets us apart from our competitors.

Our E-Cyclist role will involve making collections from customers on your round using our new fleet of E-Cargo Bikes and bringing the waste back to the yard for tipping, ready for distribution and recycling.

There are 2 shift patterns we are hiring for as follows:

• Monday to Friday, working 9 hours with a 45 minute unpaid break
• 4 days on, 2 days off continuous (10 hours work, plus 45 minutes unpaid break)

Rounds typically start between 4pm and 7pm depending on the round you are assigned

* Note - this is a physical role, which involves frequent: heavy lifting of bags up to 25kg, time on feet and carrying a heavy load on a bike for several hours. Please ensure you are comfortable with the physical requirements before applying*

• Comfortable with frequent heavy lifting of up to 25kg, time on feet and cycling with a heavy load (Essential)
• Experience working in a similar role
• Experience operating cargo bikes (desirable but not essential)
• Happy to commute to the advertised location 5 days per week
• Happy with working night shifts

Competitive salary of £32,500 per annum for Monday to Friday and £33,700 per annum for 4 days on, 2 days off
