Role Profile

Our client is a fast-growing, design-led business supplying innovative products across global markets. With an international supply base and distribution footprint in the UK and USA, they're looking to appoint a proactive and detail-focused Shipping Coordinator to join their team in London.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end shipping process from international suppliers to global warehouses. You'll play a vital part in coordinating freight, ensuring customs compliance, managing dangerous goods documentation, and collaborating with 3PLs to maintain smooth operations and on-time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate global inbound and outbound shipments via sea, air, and road.
  • Manage shipping documentation, customs clearance, and dangerous goods compliance.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and negotiate competitive rates.
  • Oversee consolidation of shipments and ensure container optimisation.
  • Maintain accurate ERP system updates and track ETD/ETA timelines.
  • Work closely with 3PL partners in the UK and USA to ensure stock reconciliation.
  • Analyse freight invoices and support finance with accurate and timely processing.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline logistics, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Proactively address shipping delays and seek creative transport solutions.
  • Support the company's shift towards sustainable and diversified global sourcing.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven background in shipping, logistics, or international supply chain coordination.
  • Strong understanding of global import/export processes and documentation.
  • Experience with dangerous goods.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Excel; confident managing shipping data and KPIs.
  • Highly organised, solutions-driven, and commercially aware.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
