Transport Router - Colchester Salary £30,000 - £35,000

Role Overview We are seeking a Transport Router to support our Transport Team in planning and coordinating the logistics of waste collection and transportation activities. This role is central to ensuring efficient daily operations, accurate record-keeping, and high levels of customer satisfaction, while maintaining strict compliance with health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate daily waste collection routes to ensure efficient operations. Liaise with drivers to communicate instructions, monitor progress, and resolve operational issues as they arise. Handle customer enquiries related to transport services in a professional and timely manner. Promote a positive health and safety culture by following procedures and participating in training and briefings. Assist with weighbridge operations, including accurate documentation and completion of waste transfer notes.

Represent the business professionally across all operational activities. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in transport or logistics is essential; experience within waste management is advantageous but not required. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly when responding to unexpected operational challenges. A valid UK driving licence.

Location & Employment Details Based at a site near Wormingford, Colchester. Full-time, permanent position. Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime as required. Salary negotiable, dependent on experience. Benefits
