HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Summary

HGV Class 1 Driver – Permanent, Full‑time (38.5 hours per week, 4 on 4 off day shifts), located at Crossness STW, Abbey Wood, South East London (SE2 9AQ
). Salary £37,337 per annum, Grade

A. Closing date 25/06/2026.

• Drive and operate HGVs and plant to deliver Bio‑Recycling services within Thames Water sites and external locations.
• Enter deliveries into the cake logging system as required.
• Work collaboratively with other Thames Water staff to support efficient delivery of Bio‑Recycling activities.

• Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
• Front‑end loader licence holder is beneficial.
• Experience in tipping lorries is beneficial.
• Experience delivering to farms or agricultural sites is desirable.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR or IN convictions on your licence.
• Full driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
• Clear knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
• Working knowledge of Drivers’ Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
