The Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tipper Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for collecting rubbish from various properties across London using a tipper truck, as well as performing basic garden maintenance tasks as needed. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for keeping our city clean and green, we want to hear from you.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
- Drive a tipper truck to designated locations across London to collect rubbish, including household waste, garden waste, and construction debris.
- Safely load and unload rubbish onto the tipper truck using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to waste management regulations.
- Efficiently plan routes to maximize collection productivity and minimize travel time between locations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the tipper truck to ensure in good working condition, reporting any issues to management promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating the tipper truck, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Interact professionally with tenants and members of the public while collecting rubbish, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of rubbish collections, and any incidents or issues encountered during work shifts.
- Carry out deliveries of white goods, beds and mattresses etc and build flat pack furniture as required.
- Previous experience as a tipper driver or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of London's streets and neighbourhoods.
- Ability to operate gardening equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
- Experience with managing vulnerable individuals and managing HMO properties.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Working on own initiative without close supervision and as part of a team.
- Work flexibly to meet the varying demands of the role in order to achieve agreed outcomes.
