Airport Services Duty Supervisor - London Heathrow

Job PurposeSupervise and control flight‑handling activities such as flight editing, check‑in, transfers, boarding, etc., to ensure high service standard. Achieve optimum customer satisfaction and on‑time departure of flights. Handle flight delays, disruptions, denied boarding and deputise Airport Services Duty Officer and/or Airport Representative.
Accountabilities- Act as a station coordinator in liaison with GHA and QR Department, working closely with all airport departments to meet on‑time performance targets.
- Ensure progress toward on‑time flight closure and passenger boarding, supervising the airport team to achieve on‑time performance.
- Facilitate ramp handling activities with GHA, caterers, fuels, maintenance, cargo, and crew to expedite departure, ensuring on‑time performance.
- Utilise maximum resources by planning efficient duty allocation for customer service agents and ensure efficient use of manpower during the duty period.
- Review aircraft allocations according to Movement Signals, Late Arrivals, Loads, etc., ensuring all departments are aware of operational messages and requirements.
- Provide support to Airport Services Duty Officer in case of flight disruptions, misconnections, denied boarding, ensuring passengers receive full support during any disruption.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Take on any other operational tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Airport Services Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Advanced customer relations training such as Passenger Services (Altea), Baggage Services (World Tracer), Ground Operations (GSM/GOM), Dangerous Goods Regulations, weight and balance, and sound knowledge of Amadeus Reservations & Ticketing (including /AD tickets).
- High computer literacy.
- Five years of job‑related experience required.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
