Job Title HGV Class 1 Store Delivery Driver

Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to retail stores while providing excellent customer service and ensuring full compliance with road transport and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (Category CE) vehicle. Deliver goods to retail stores according to scheduled routes and delivery times. Load and unload deliveries where required, using appropriate equipment. Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly. Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and proof of delivery is obtained. Adhere to all road traffic laws, driver hours regulations, and company policies.

Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and security. Communicate effectively with the transport office, store staff, and customers. Handle goods with care to minimise damage and loss. Follow all health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines. Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) driving licence. Valid Driver CPC qualification. Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Good understanding of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations.

Previous experience in store delivery or multi-drop work is desirable. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts, weekends, and bank holidays where required. Skills and Attributes Excellent driving skills and road safety awareness. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Good attention to detail. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery schedules. Team player with a customer-focused approach.
