Van Driver / Loader Salary: £28,080.00 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours:

40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 4am start time

What you’ll be doing ;

Driving company vans safely and professionally in line with road traffic legislation and company procedures

Carrying out daily vehicle walk around checks and reporting defects

Collecting commercial waste and recycling from customer premises

Loading and unloading waste containers safely and efficiently

Ensuring all collections are completed on time and in line with service schedules

Using in-cab technology and mobile devices to complete route information and report issues

Reporting contaminated bins, missed collections, access issues or customer concerns

Maintaining a high standard of health & safety at all times

Delivering excellent customer service and representing the business professionally

Supporting depot operations and assisting other crews when required

Keeping vehicles and work areas clean and tidy

What we’re looking for Essential:

Full UK driving licence

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Good communication and teamwork skills

Strong awareness of health & safety

Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude

Ability to carry out manual handling tasks

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about progressing to HGV driver training as part of their career development with us Desirable:

Previous experience in waste collections, logistics or driving roles

Experience using handheld devices or route management systems

Knowledge of commercial waste and recycling streams

Van driving experience in busy urban environments
