Transport Planner – Tippers

George Killoughery Ltd are a Construction Services company, we are a leading, fast-paced Aggregates and Waste Management provider operating a modern, versatile fleet of HGVs. Our diverse fleet includes tippers, grabs, skips, hook loaders (bins), road sweepers, and articulated vehicles. We have a reputation for quality of service in the market and work closely with a variety of contractors including most major UK Construction Contractors.

We are seeking an experienced, sharp, and highly organized TRANSPORT PLANNER to take control of our daily routing and fleet scheduling. Managing a multi-category fleet of vehicles requires a dynamic planner who can think on their feet, optimize vehicle utilization, and maintain excellent driver relations.

• Fleet Scheduling:
  Route and schedule a diverse 25-vehicle fleet (tippers, grabs, skips, bins, sweepers, and artics) to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Driver Management:
  Act as the main point of contact for drivers, providing clear daily briefings, de-briefings, and managing live on-the-road issues.

• Proven Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of experience planning mixed HGV fleets, specifically involving tippers, skips, or bulk waste operations.
• Geographical Awareness:
  Excellent local and regional road network knowledge to ensure realistic and efficient routing.
• Tech-Savvy:
  Strong proficiency using modern Transport Management Systems and live vehicle tracking software.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  A firm but fair communication style with the ability to manage driver schedules and client expectations under pressure.
