Job Description & How to Apply Below
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Fleet and Compliance Coordinator to join a well-established food service distribution business. This key role offers the opportunity to take ownership of fleet administration and transport compliance, ensuring all vehicles, drivers and associated records remain legally compliant, safe and operationally fit for purpose.

As Transport Fleet and Compliance Coordinator, you will oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, MOTs, safety inspections and defect management, while maintaining accurate fleet and driver records and monitoring statutory compliance deadlines. Working closely with the Transport Manager, wider operational teams and external suppliers, you will coordinate repairs, breakdowns and replacement vehicles, manage driver compliance documentation, including licence checks, drivers' hours and tachograph records, and support the monitoring of fleet expenditure.

A proactive approach to identifying compliance risks, maintaining audit-ready records and ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant and operationally available will be essential.

Ideal Candidate:

Essential:
Holds a valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage.
Demonstrable knowledge of UK transport legislation, Operator Licence requirements, drivers' hours, working time regulations, tachograph requirements and vehicle compliance.
Proven experience in fleet administration, transport compliance or a similar role within a fast-paced transport or distribution environment.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, preventative servicing, safety inspections, defect reporting and driver compliance procedures.
Highly organised with excellent administrative and IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and fleet or compliance management systems.
A confident communicator with a proactive and accountable approach, able to manage competing priorities, build supplier relationships, monitor fleet costs and challenge non-compliance.

If you believe you have the skills, experience and qualifications to fit these requirements, please get in touch with Will Malcolm at (url removed) or (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion.
