Stores Operative

Overview

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a proactive and reliable Stores Operative to join our Yard division. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient and well‑organised yard and stores service, providing vital support to the division's operations from this site and helping to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity based at our Purley Oaks depot in Croydon, Greater London.

• Ensuring all stock levels are maintained and can be accounted for.
• Ensuring the whole yard is always kept clean and tidy.
• Working with the Supervisor to ensure the yard is compliant with current Health & Safety legislation.
• Issuing materials and stocked items once the correct documentation has been received and processed.

We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores Operative. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of health and safety practices, particularly within highways and building materials environments. You will ideally have a background in stock control procedures and warehouse operations. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. Experience operating a forklift or loading shovel would be an advantage for this role.
