Storeman​/Warehouse Assistant

About the Role

Storeman is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods or parts in a warehouse or stockroom. This role ensures accurate inventory control, proper storage practices, and timely distribution of materials.

Operations Manager

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against delivery notes or invoices.
• Store materials in designated locations following company procedures.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with audits.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized and safe at all times.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks where required.
• Report damaged or missing items to supervisors.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or store keeping role preferred.
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Forklift license desirable, but not always required.
• Right to work in the UK.

• Manual handling of goods.
