Job Title:
Stock Controller (Warehouse Environment)
Location:
East London
Hourly rate: £13.85 plus holiday pay
Job Type: Contract – opportunity to go permanent after 12 weeks.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our friendly and professional, warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring efficient stock movement throughout the warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse and inventory management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term role with good benefits.
PLEASE NOTE - You must have previous Stock control experience, within a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control systems.
• Perform regular stock counts and cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations.
• Ensure goods received and dispatched are accurately recorded.
• Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, and operations teams to maintain stock accuracy.
• Produce inventory and stock movement reports as required.
• Assist with warehouse organisation and stock location management.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a stock control, inventory control, or warehouse role.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or stock control software.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
Desirable (Not Essential)
• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence/certification.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of inventory management best practices
