Monday to Friday | 6:00am - 2:00pm or 2:00pm - 10:00pm Job Type: Full-time | Permanent Stock Control Team Leader Required - Wellingborough Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Stock Control Team Leader to join a busy warehouse operation based in Wellingborough, NN8. This is a great permanent opportunity for someone with a strong background in stock control, inventory management and warehouse operations who is ready to lead a small team and take ownership of stock accuracy across the site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily stock control activity, investigating discrepancies, improving inventory accuracy and ensuring stock processes are followed correctly.

The Role As a Stock Control Team Leader, your duties may include:
Leading and supporting the Stock Control team on a day-to-day basis Allocating daily workloads and ensuring tasks are completed on time Overseeing cycle counts, stock checks, audits and variance reporting Investigating stock discrepancies and identifying root causes Implementing corrective actions to improve stock accuracy Maintaining accurate stock records using WMS/ERP systems Processing stock adjustments and inventory updates where required Supporting goods-in and goods-out accuracy checks Monitoring slow-moving, obsolete, damaged or at-risk stock Producing and analysing stock reports for management Reviewing stock-related KPIs and identifying areas for improvement Working closely with Warehouse, Goods In, Goods Out and Operations teams Supporting internal and external stock audits Training, coaching and developing team members Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, compliance and health and safety Supporting continuous improvement projects across the warehouse

What Were Looking For We are looking for candidates who:
Have previous stock control, inventory or warehouse operations experience Have 2 years stock control or inventory experience, desirable Have previous Team Leader, Supervisor or senior stock control experience Are confident using WMS, ERP or inventory management systems Have strong stock investigation and problem-solving skills Can identify root causes of stock discrepancies Have strong attention to detail and accuracy Are confident producing and analysing stock reports Are competent using Microsoft Excel and reporting tools Can lead, motivate and support a small team Have good written and verbal communication skills Are organised, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment Are looking for a long-term permanent opportunity What Success Looks Like In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining high levels of stock accuracy, reducing discrepancies, improving cycle count performance and supporting the overall efficiency of the warehouse operation.
