Roles & Responsibilities of Technical Writer at Londonderry, NH 03053

  • Review and evaluate existing in-process and final assembly inspection instructions to ensure they are clear, comprehensible, and accurate.
  • Ensure inspection instructions align with current manufacturing process instructions, blueprints, process specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate inspection instructions using data from field failures, in-process nonconformances, customer feedback, and factory acceptance testing failures.
  • Identify necessary updates to inspection instructions to improve clarity and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing technicians, quality assurance, inspectors, quality engineers, and design engineers from electrical, mechanical, and optical functions.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all inspection instructions and revisions.

This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience in a technical role.
  • Strong technical writing skills are essential.
  • Experience with inspection methodologies, hand tooling, and visual inspections.
  • Ability to work autonomously

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of CMM inspection software or Keyence inspection systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and MIL-STD-810 is preferred.
  • Advantageous but not required:
    Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Technical Writing Certification, or knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience in the field of night vision goggles or precision aiming devices is not required, but a general background in precision manufacturing is preferred.

Pay Range: $34 - $36/hr.
