Position: Echo Technologist, Per Diem or FT

Overview

Echo Technologist, Per Diem role at Cardiovascular Specialists of New England (CSNE). This per diem position includes 1-2 shifts per week. You will provide patient care support at the practice and be responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients to ensure that the quality of the studies adheres to established standards. You will report directly to the supervising provider or designee.

What

You’ll Do
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds
  • Perform cardiac pulse and continuous wave ultrasound Doppler to identify and characterize intracardiac blood flow patterns
  • Perform transesophageal cardiac ultrasound
  • Perform stress echocardiography
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the equipment, standard tests and procedures, and typical readings including arrhythmias and abnormalities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of typical patient reactions and signs of distress including the ability to recognize, report and treat potentially lethal arrhythmias
  • Demonstrate knowledge of common equipment settings, standardized procedures, and common errors with corrective measures
  • Modify procedures/positions to obtain the correct results with patients who have complicating conditions
What You’ll Need
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI is required
  • 2 years of experience as an Echo Tech
  • BLS/ACLS Certification required
  • Preference for candidates with both Echo and Vascular experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail to notice abnormalities in sonograms
  • Hand-eye coordination to adjust the ultrasound transducer
  • Technical and analytical skills to troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work well under pressure, including emergency situations
  • Strong teamwork and ability to work independently
  • Medical knowledge and understanding of anatomy to create proper images
  • Excellent customer service skills
Work Location

You will work out of the Londonderry, New Hampshire office.

Compensation

Full-time hourly range of $40.00-$50.00 per hour plus medical, dental, and vision benefits.
