Optical​/Mechanical Assembler

Optical / Mechanical Assembler at Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions (IMS)

Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $27.00/hr

• Assemble electronics according to product specifications.
• Soldering under mgalight shielded cables.
• Fine pitch capabilities or experience with wires to host.
• Follow visual aids to assemble mechanical and electronic products.
• Use hand and power tools and other assembly equipment.
• Utilize quality practices and procedures to assure accurate assembly.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly area.
• Responsible for quality and accuracy of own work.

• Interfaces: inter-company personnel.
• People managed: none.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• May lead and direct the work of others.

Direct impact on product quality.

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Experience with soldering equipment and wires to host.
• Experience with clean room environment.
• Excellent knowledge of IPC-610 workmanship requirements.
• Understanding of ESD protocols.
• Absolute attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

• High school diploma and/or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of IPC.
• Experience with optics preferred (e.g., assemblies that include lenses, etc).
• At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
