Position Overview

Kiewit Supply Network is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager in our growing Engineering Contracts Group. You will be part of our rapidly growing integrated Construction Engineering entity which includes Infrastructure, Water, Industrial, Power and/or Oil Gas markets. We are a multi‑faced and leading‑edge division of Kiewit with best‑in‑class expertise focused on the design‑build delivery of projects. The successful candidate will have supported engineering and construction projects.

Kiewit Supply Network specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including transportation; water/wastewater; power; oil, gas and chemical; building and mining. Our key objectives are to offer clients a world‑class service that ensures equipment, materials and services are consistently estimated and procured at the right price and delivered on schedule.

Location

This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO regional HQ.

Responsibilities
  • Support third‑party design consultant administration.
  • Manage non‑technical aspects of regions, divisions, markets and/or projects and pursuits, providing guidance and assistance, collaborating with engineering teams on contract negotiation, scope management, change management, schedule, risk, and other contract matters.
  • Assist in establishing, negotiating and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of engineering agreements, documenting and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise during implementation or execution.
  • Understand, interpret, and transmit relevant contract information, processes, and procedures to all key pursuit/project participants, guiding them to adhere to their discipline scope of work in compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Expertise in the RFP process and procedures, writing, issuing, and responding to procurement requirements, proposals, successfully negotiate subcontracts and change orders under multi‑million‑dollar design‑build pursuits/projects.
  • Collaborate with other engineering discipline leads on the pursuit/project to implement effective commercial and change management best practices.
  • Engage as requested during pursuit and delivery phase of the project.
  • Support Construction Management and Program Management engagements by assisting with commercial management issues.
  • Oversee non‑technical aspects of ongoing contracts, ensuring compliance with contract documents to maintain requirements implementation, monitoring compliance documents, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Assist in drafting subcontracts for design or engineering services; administer current prime contracts and flow‑downs to subcontractors, task orders, and modifications; oversee contract performance by monitoring compliance documents, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement processes for non‑technical contract administration elements, training the project team on these processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Law (LLM or JD).
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience required.
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with others inside and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a variety of corporate departments and districts to assist in the delivery of proposals.
  • Familiarity with the engineering/construction industry strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight.
  • Innovative thinking to offer practical solutions while achieving targeted risk profile.
  • Ability to manage employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams).
  • Other software working knowledge such as SharePoint, Smart Sheet and SAP desired but not required.
