Position OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) has an opening for a Concrete Engineer. You will be part of our growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in‑class technical expertise focused on the design‑build delivery of infrastructure projects. This position’s primary role is to provide support, analysis, and design to Kiewit projects, and have a direct impact to other teams within the engineering district.
Project involvement of a concrete engineer can be at any stage (Get Work or Build Work) of a project’s life cycle. Get Work project tasks can include proposal development, Task Force participation, technical proposal design including alternative technical design concept (ATC), and proposal cost estimating support. These deliverables provide technical analysis, technical interpretations, and professional recommendations; all of these project deliverables are subject to KIE’s Design Quality Management Plan. Project deliverables may require field technical support with investigations and site visit observations during project construction.
Concrete Engineering is considered a “specialty” engineering service and as such has high visibility with Project upper management where high professionalism is always expected.
