Pay Range$50,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year.
SummaryResponsible for creating and analyzing digital mapping data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support company‑wide efforts in product planning, design, and implementation.
Essential Functions- Catalog and inventory GIS data, including metadata creation.
- Develop and edit large and complex GIS databases.
- Produce presentation‑quality maps using cartographic design standards for public, client, and internal usage.
- Maintain high attention to detail on concurrent tasks while meeting challenging deadlines.
- Formulate and solve problems.
- Possesses oral and written communication skills.
- Interacts with staff.
- Proficient with Esri’s GIS mapping software, particularly ArcGIS Pro.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competent with ArcGIS Model Builder.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in GIS, geography, planning, computer science, engineering, geology, or related field (an associate degree or GIS certification may also be acceptable if work experience is commensurate).
- Zero to two (0‑2) years of experience with demonstrated GIS responsibilities (additional experience is a plus).
- Experience working in the engineering and/or planning consulting fields is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and successful MVR verification.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
Physical DemandsOffice duties: sit regularly, use hands, reach, talk, hear, occasionally stand, walk, stoop, lift up to 10 lb. Field duties: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift up to 40 lb. Noise level typically moderate.
