Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Duration: 2 months
Location: Lone Tree, CO 80124
Shift/Time Zone: M-F 8A-5P
Responsibilities- Represent the face of the company to patients who come in for health routine or insights into life‑defining health decisions.
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely and accurately.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform verification of patient demographic info and initials, including patient signature post‑venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled correctly.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
- Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collection.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime). Committed to all company policies, dress code, health and safety, and guiding principles.
- Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record (if applicable). Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations with minimal notice.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus, communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients, and accelerate and embrace change and knowledge of the business.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training.
- Preferred phlebotomy certification.
- Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
