Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Base Pay Range: $20.12/hr – $30.19/hr

Responsibilities:

• Patient care: Direct patient care during dialysis treatment. Gather patient stats before & after treatment, initiate and terminate treatment, monitor patients, and collect blood samples per physician orders.
• Technician duties: Prepare hemodialysis machines, clean & disinfect after treatment, perform safety checks, log results, and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Safety & Quality: Use personal protective equipment, follow company policies, laws & regulations, attend required staff meetings, and continue education.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Prior experience: dialysis, phlebotomy, or CNA (plus).
• Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate per protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by state.
• Patient Care Technician certification through state or national program within 18 months of hire, maintained in good standing thereafter.
